Mark joined Prelude in 2013 to have a positive impact on the reversal of climate change. He invests in entrepreneurs applying emerging technologies to established industries that use a significant amount of our energy or physical resources.
Mark received a BS and MS in Chemical & Bio-molecular Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has authored patents and publications in a wide variety of technologies focused on materials science in the fields of microelectronics, engineered polymers, advanced cements, barrier coatings, pharmaceutical delivery systems, and pulp & paper additives.
Prior to joining Prelude, Mark worked with the Celanese Corporation, a Fortune 500 company specializing in advanced materials and chemicals. Mark held a number of technical roles in new product development, application development, and process design, as well as commercial roles in technical marketing and business development. He also spent time with Terawatt Ventures, the solar investment team at Chevron Technology Ventures, and with sustainable chemistry start-up Novomer.
